Stay Safe on the Road!

Truckers, safe driving isn’t just about getting from point A to B – it’s about protecting yourself and others. Check out these essential tips to keep your journey smooth and accident-free.

Master Your Blind Spots
Trucks have larger blind spots than regular vehicles. Always check your mirrors frequently and use your turn signals early before changing lanes. When in doubt, assume other drivers can’t see you and drive cautiously.
Keep a Safe Distance
Heavy vehicles require longer braking distance. Maintain at least 3 to 5 second gap from the vehicle in front, and even more during wet weather.
Slow Down on Turns
Speeding around corners can cause rollovers, especially when carrying heavy loads. Reduce your speed before entering sharp turns, and use engine brake to stay in control.
Stay Alert & Avoid Fatigue
Take regular breaks, stay hydrated, and if you feel drowsy, stop and rest. A quick power nap can make all the difference.
